Social Break - Make a Mini-Quilt Patch with the ND&ID SIG
Thursday May 15, 2025 1:15pm - 2:00pm EDT
This session will not be recorded.
This session will be limited to the first 100 participants due to the interactive format.

Join Neurodiversity and Invisible Disability SIG coordinator Anna for a brief workshop where we'll make a mini-quilt (think the size of a coaster!). Participants will come away with their own mini-quilt, which they can later bind, or use as a patch on a piece of clothing, bag, or whatever they please! To participate, you will need a small assortment of scrap fabric, a pair of scissors, one sewing needle, and some thread.

Social Break - Zine-making
Thursday May 15, 2025 1:15pm - 2:00pm EDT
This session will not be recorded.
This session will be limited to the first 100 participants due to the interactive format.

Come take a break and unwind making a quick zine. You don't need any experience in making zines. Bring a few pieces of regular 8.5X11 paper, some scissors, and some pencils, markers, your favorite pens, and even paints if you want to. You can also bring stamps, washi tape, and other embellishments if you want. Think of something that makes you feel relaxed or that you are really interested in to be your prompt for making your zine. I can also help you think of things to make your zine about. Zine making tips and tools will also be briefly covered and a little dose of copyright and Creative Commons licensing to help you with your zine making decisions.
