About me
A.M. LaVey is an archival scholar-practitioner specializing in eastern Slavic spaces with scientific interests that includes archives and creativity, dance documentation and visual culture. Trained both as an art historian and archivist, recent scholarship focuses on the use of digital protest art in Belarus surrounding the 2020 presidential election, and the archival and curatorial practices used to preserve and disseminate artistic information.
I consult on Slavic bibliography for the American Philatelic Research Library and The Ukrainian Museum (NYC), and am an associate at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University.
